Pacific Food Importers - Big John Croce's wonderful food importing company. Our cheese platter owes everything to these guys. Our dishes that use olive oil and bacala are better because of Pacific Food Importers, too. These guys are the friendliest, most knowledgeable guys in town. And in Seattle that's saying something.
ChefShop - Website of a lovely, local specialty food vendor - founded by, among other people, Mauny Kaseburg.
Salumi - Armandino Batali's wonderful charcuterie - available everywhere, now.
King Arthur Flour - whenever I get the chance I visit their wonderful Vermont store and mill. I subscribe to their Baker's Sheet newsletter (you should, too). And I love their bread flour. They also make a dense, brown bread (for sale only occasionally in their store) called volksbrot. They refuse to give up the recipe. Harumph. Charlie's Produce - my produce purveyor whenever I'm in the food service business. Their website contains very useful seasonal availability and news for anybody interested in really fresh produce.
Roadfood.com - by the great Jane and Michael Stern. You better bet I'm a member. Named for their brilliant book by the same name.
The Vegetarian Resource Group - A fine site for all things vegetarian
Indian Harvest - specialty grain and rice vendor
The Splendid Table - NPR's The Splendid Table radio show site
The Outlaw Cook - Simple Cooking, the web site of brilliant author John Thorne
Paula Wolfert - One of the great food writers - known mostly for her work on Mediterranean food
Peter Reinhart's Blog - the wonderful author, teacher and guru of breadbaking
Bargreen-Ellingson Restaurant Supply - Restaurant supply
Books For Cooks - Cookbooks
